The original artwork for this bell was painted by Jim Channell, a young but accomplished artist from England. An avid naturalist, Mr. Channell devotes much of his time to illustrating and photographing wildlife.
The bell itself comes from the Kyotoh porcelain house of Japan. Mr. Kyohei Kato, the original owner and founder started the business in 1946 as a small family-run cottage operation. Since then, it has grown to include other members of his family, but Mr. Kato still oversees the design and decorating.
